    1. Thank you, Cameron! Let's see if I can explain how I did the collage:
I have some linen digital paper that I downloaded from The Background Fairy (www.backgroundfairy.com). It's the same linen that is my blog background. In Photoshop Elements, I created an image sized 950 pixels x 950 pixels and added the linen background to it. This made a plain linen square image.

Then I created the collage using Picasa (this is a free photo editing program available from Google). In order for it to have 6 photos across and 6 photos down, I included the linen square "picture" 5 times in the collage since I only had 31 photos but I wanted 36 squares.

When I set the color for the lines in between the photos, I just used the eyedropper tool and had it select the same color as the linen square.

I saved the collage so that the 6 linen squares lined up on the top row to the left of the first picture.

Next, I opened the collage in Photoshop and created a rectangle that would fit over the row of 5 linen squares. I made the background of the rectangle the same linen, then added the text and the little birdie.

That's it. Now...if this makes NO sense at all, please let me know and I'll try to explain it better! Thanks for visiting my blog and for your sweet comments.
